HTC Mobiles History
HTC mobiles have been made by the Taiwan based company HTC since 1998 and have always pushed themselevs to be at the leading edge of technology and design. The first of all successful HTC mobiles was developed in 2000, the Palm Treo 650. The first android phone in the world was a HTC mobiles, HTC Dream (also known as the T-Mobile G1) and HTC have gone on to release several more successful Android handsets since then.
Recent Success of HTC Mobiles
In 2009 HTC released the popular Hero and in 2010 the Desire which was aptly dubbed the iPhone killer and has gone on to be a huge success, especially with the additional functionality that Anroid 2.2 has brought along with it. HTC also have several phones in the pipeline for the future, including a windows based handset, but keep their cards close to their chest with regards to details.
Whilst smartphones are normally deemed expensive playtoys, HTC Mobiles include the Wildfire in their range which is aimed at the budget conscious younger generation.
HTC Mobiles aims to continually develop smartphones and mobiles devices to empower users, and provide greater freedom in the way they live their lives.
HTC Mobiles released the HTC Desire, HTC Desire HD and the Desire Z (T-mobile G2) in 2010 all of which have been well received by the market. The HTC Desire even won T3 ‘Phone of the Year’ award in 2010. HTC Mobiles appear to be a strong leader for Smartphones in the Mobile market place and they have recently announced the HTC One, their upcoming flagship mobile handset.
