Android 2.3 features
With all this talk of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on some handsets and eagerly awaited by others, I thought it would be useful to briefly explore the main features and advantages of Android 2.3.
1, Improved copy and paste features – one touch selection of word is possible and the ability to expand the selection in each direction.
2, Improved battery life – judgeing by the feedback from those who have already upgraded their HTC mobiles to Gingerbread, there is a gain of upto 15% to be had on battery life on a full charge.
3, Smoother and faster performance – transition between menus and screens is both quicker and more smoother than the previous version of Android.
4, Quick settings – a set of useful quick settings can be accessed from the pull down notifications menu, which allows quick access to most of the Power control widget functions and access to full settings and a task manager too.
