HTC Desire S get Android Update
The HTC Desire S is an improved version of the Desire which launched back in April. Since it’s launch it was already updated to Android Gingerbread (2.3) then 2.3.4 and has now been upgraded to the latest version, Android 2.3.5.
The 2.3.5 update itself is a minor update that improves the overall performance and stability of the HTC Desire S. However, the real value of the update is the accompanying HTC Sense update which brings a number of new improvements to the user-interface of the HTC Desire S.
HTC Sense 3.0, which first debuted on the HTC Sensation, includes a number of new features including “Interactive Lock-screens”, as well new home-screen 3D icons and a number of new widgets. HTC Watch has also been added which enables you to view movies and TV shows on your HTC Desire S.
HTC Watch uses progressive download technology meaning that you don’t have to wait for the whole show to download before you can start watching it.
The HTC Desire S update is currently available to Orange users , but we’re expecting the SIM-only version and other networks to release the update shortly.
